Attendance Matters!
Did you know that after 3 absences, your child is considered truant? California law mandates that students attend school regularly. Students who miss 10 or more days of school are considered chronically absent and miss critical learning opportunities.
When your child misses school, it is difficult to catch up...(it is a bit like watching a movie and missing 15 minutes of the movie... it takes a while to catch up and understand what is happening!)
Please help Luther Burbank achieve 100% attendance by scheduling doctor/dentist appointments afterschool hours and staying home only if your child has a fever or with doctor's advice. Keep your child healthy by encouraging good hand washing habits, eating healthy foods, and getting plenty of sleep
